English Language Courses

 

1. Academic Purpose English Language (APELC)

Academic Purpose English Language course is for the students that want to pursue academic study at a college or university. It prepares you for study in any subject or course in English Language for up to postgraduate level. Our students will also be prepared to take the IELTS test.

Requirement:

A good secondary education qualification with English as an academic subject or a limited use of English (Say IELTS 4.0 or TOEFL 500)

• Study Skills
• Academic Project
• Academic Reading

Exams:

All our students need to undertake an examination conducted by the College internally at the end of the course. Certificates will be awarded to the successful students.

2. Basic English Language Course (BELC)

General English Language Course is for our prospective students who are at the beginner's level of English, but need to achieve fluency in English. The programme is individually designed after detailed initial assessment. The delivery involves a high level of one-to-one tutoring and closely monitored progression

Requirement:

The students need to have the intension of being fluent in English and be ready to take the challenge.

• Writing Grammar
• Comprehension
• Essay Writing

Exams:

All our students will be assessed through continuous assignments and tests. Exams will be held at the sixth month and at the end of the course. General English Language Certificate will be awarded to the successful candidates at the completion of the course.

3. Comprehensive English Language Course (CELC)

This course, offered over six months is an ideal opportunity for students wishing to improve their English in the context of business and commerce. It also serves as a useful introduction to the business world.

We aim to introduce the student to a variety of commercial activities and install an understanding of the nature of administration in the business world. The Business English Certificate will be awarded to successful students.

• English for Commerce
• Communication and Study Skills
• Business Computing
• Business Studies

Requirement:

Secondary education or college assessment and intermediate level of English.

Students completing this Certificate course will be able to progress to more advanced courses in Business Studies.

Duration and type of the course: 6 months, full time.
