1. THE ACCA QUALIFICATION:

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) www.accaglobal.com, founded in 1940, is the largest and fastest-growing international accountancy body with 320,000 students and members in 160 countries. The ACCA qualification will equip you with in depth knowledge of Accounting techniques and principles, Information Technology and Management skills, which enable you to work in any area of accounting and finance.     All students are required to register with the ACCA.

Registration Requirements:

  • Student must be Must be 18 and over
  • To enter into Part One, all applicants should have five GCE/GCSE passes at grade C or above, including Two A Level or equivalent Local Qualification
  • Those students whose age 21 or over can apply under Mature Students Entry Route Programme with no formal qualification require.
  • Applicants who have completed qualifications at a higher level ( e.g. HND, relevant degree) may be eligible to enter at Part Two or Three.

ACCA Syllabus:

All parts may be studied on a day-release or evenings-only basis, or by a combination of day and evening study. Outside the taught programme, students will be set an amount of theoretical and practical work and reading roughly equal to the time spent in the class.

All examinations are of three hours duration.

Duration of ACCA Courses:

Initially we are running 3 and 5 months programme on week days and weekend basis, soon we are going to start other duration programs as well.

  • Program of 5 Months Duration:
    12 Lecture per subject, include revision. Each lecture consists of six hours tuition.
  • Program of 3 Months Duration:
    10 Lecture per subject, include revision. Each lecture consists of 6hrs tuition.

Eligibility to Obtain B.Sc. in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University:

After successful completion of Part 1 and 2, you are entitled to apply for degree of B.Sc. in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University . You have to submit 5,000 word theses on a topic suggested by University as a part of degree.

    31st December for June Examinations

2. The CAT Qualification:

The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) is an internationally recognised professional qualification accountancy awarded by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) www.accaglobal.com, The CAT qualification is an ideal choice for those who are interested in accountancy field, which provide the basic knowledge and base for successful completion of ACCA.

A new scheme of examinations with new rules and syllabuses begins at the June 2004 examination session. The new scheme will continue to be known as the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT).

The new structure is similar to the current CAT qualification and it maintains the same number and hours of examination. In new structure Students may be studied International or UK accounting and auditing standards. There is increased flexibility in the number of papers you can take each session and examinations may be taken out of sequence.

You will be able to obtain the CAT qualification by passing or being exempt from all the examinations and completing one year's approved work experience.
